Owen Lonzar is one of those crazy people who finds time to work like a demon and still have a personal life and be there for his loved ones. He says it’s a balancing act on the tight rope of life. Owen earned money as a dancer for the first time at the tender age of five when he was paid 50 cents to dance on the counter of a diner in his hometown on a Saturday afternoon. He did his first professional job at 14 and has now been a choreographer and director for the last 30 years. He has a great love for the industry and is known for his controversial opinions based on his need to fight for the rights of artists. He works in a variety of dance styles and has his feet planted in both the theatre and events entertainment worlds. He believes in being multi skilled and as such, choreographs, directs, writes events scripts, conceptualizes, and directs corporate videos, produces, teaches (now and again), show calls and in 2024 he will be learning to do video editing. “As a freelancer you have to earn every penny, so the more you can do the more you will work.”
