Eligibility Criteria

Before you begin your application, ensure that you meet the following criteria:

Age: You must be between the ages of 18-40.
Nationality: Only South African citizens can apply.
Employment Status: You should not be permanently employed.
Disabilities: People with disabilities are encouraged to apply.

Application Process:

Research:

• Start by browsing the list of host organizations featured on our website and our official Facebook page.
  
  

Organization Selection:

• Identify and choose an organization where you envision yourself working for the 5-week duration of the programme.
• Familiarize yourself with their mission, vision, and current projects, so you can align your aspirations accordingly.
• Clearly state the organization you wish to be placed at, elaborating on your reasons for the choice.

Video Application:

• Start with a self-introduction: name, age, location.
• Explain your motivation behind joining the Creative Careers Acceleration Programme.
• Create a concise and clear WhatsApp video lasting between 1-2 minutes.

Submission: Send your video application to the designated Whatsapp number provided on our website.

Wait for Our Response: After the submission, ensure your phone is reachable. If selected, we will initiate contact.

Rules & Regulations:

• Physical Availability: You must be available to work on-site at the selected organization.
• Commitment: A full commitment to the 5-week internship and mentorship duration is non-negotiable.
• Active Participation: Candidates should be proactive, eager to learn, and demonstrate a willingness to actively participate in all assigned tasks and activities.

Code of Conduct:

All interns must strictly adhere to the rules, guidelines, and code of conduct set out by the host organization.

• Programme Integrity: Failure to meet the outlined requirements or any form of dishonesty during the application will result in disqualification.
• Invalid Applications: Incomplete submissions or those not following the prescribed format will be considered invalid.
• Relocation: All costs incurred for relocating will be sole responsibility of the applicant.
• Transportation: These costs have been included in the stipend offered. Selected applicants may request up to R1000 of the R7000 at the start of the programme. 

Where to Apply?

Choose an organization from the list when sending your video introduction. Don’t forget to tell us why you would like to be placed at this particular organization. It goes without saying that if you do not reside near the organization you are applying to, you should not apply there.

• The final selection of interns will be executed by a specialized panel, ensuring a transparent and fair process.
• Please note that while we value each applicant’s preference, application does not guarantee placement at the chosen organization.
• Being selected for the program will be a testament to your potential and suitability, and we advise all applicants to approach the process with sincerity and passion.
