Mayuri Naidu got her start in Durban theatre with the production “Sasol Fever” at the renowned Catalina Theatre. She then portrayed various characters on Lotus FM radio dramas, including Cassandra in the much-loved “Lollipop Lane’. She has extensive experience in voice and dubbing work, having dubbed over twenty Spanish telenovelas, and got her start in television with Muvhango. She has since appeared in SABC, ETV, and BET productions such as High Rollers and Generations. Isono, Broken Vows, and The Estate, to name a few. She can be seen on Netflix’s The Brave Ones and BBC’s “Noughts and Crosses”, streaming on Showmax at the moment, as well as Nikiwe on ETV. She has extensive experience in voice and ad work as well.
She has trained in various dance forms, such as hip-hop and contemporary dance, and has completed her degree in Creative Writing at Unisa. She is an animal activist who supports many rescue organisations in and around Durban and JHB and is completing her certification in Animal Welfare.
